How to Delete Your Korely Account and Data

This page explains, in line with the GDPR, how you can permanently delete your Korely account and the personal data associated with it.

Step-by-step deletion

1. If you sign in to the dashboard at agent.korely.ai: open Account and choose Close the account; the dashboard asks you to type the account email to confirm.
2. If your account was created with korely init --agent or POST /v1/agents/init and has no login: send DELETE https://api.korely.ai/v1/account?confirm=true with one of its API keys (the key needs the memories:write scope).
3. To erase only one end user's memories and facts within the project of the key you use (the key needs the memories:write scope): DELETE /v1/users/{end_user}/memories.
4. Or email privacy@korely.ai and we handle the request for you.

What is deleted

Once the procedure is confirmed:

• the following are deleted for good: every API key, project, memory, fact and vector, the webhooks, sessions and usage registers of the account, and the account itself;
• your login is removed from our identity provider (Firebase), and your Polar customer record is deleted with its personal data anonymised, which ends its subscriptions at once; if Polar attached your checkout to a customer record it already held under another identifier, we do not delete that record, we end this account's subscriptions and review the record by hand; if removing the login or the Polar record fails, our operator is alerted and completes it by hand.

Data that may be retained in limited form

To comply with legal, tax and security obligations, some technical and administrative records may be retained even after your account and content have been deleted. This may include, for example:

• billing and payment records required by tax or accounting laws;
• security and anti-fraud logs necessary to protect the service and investigate abuse;
• a record that the erasure happened (the date, the rows erased per table, and keyed digests of your email and login ID, which are pseudonyms and still personal data);
• an audit entry of an end-user erasure, if you used step 3 (counts and a keyed pseudonym of the end user id, which is still personal data; it is removed when the account is closed);
• usage-cost records, kept without any link to you and reduced to the day;
• aggregated or statistical information about usage that no longer relies on your personal profile or content.

Where possible, these records are stored using anonymised or pseudonymous identifiers, are kept only for the time strictly necessary for the specific legal or security purpose, and are not used to provide the service to you, nor for marketing or profiling.

Your GDPR rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have, among others, the right to:

• access your data (Art. 15);
• rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16);
• erase your data (right to be forgotten, Art. 17);
• data portability (Art. 20).

We respond to deletion and other data-subject requests without undue delay and in any case within one month of receipt, as required by Article 12(3) GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Export your data

Before requesting deletion, you can read your memories with the API (GET /v1/memories) or email privacy@korely.ai to ask for a copy.
